Preparation for use
•
If the handle (11) is folded, open it out and
lock into place using the two lock knobs (13).
•
Check oil level (see Maintenance and
Adjustment).
•
Check that all bolts, nuts and fittings have
been tightened.
Filling petrol
•
Remove the filler cap (7) from the fuel tank
(6) and fill up with 95 octane petrol.
Starting and stopping engine
Starting the engine
•
Check worm drive is disconnected before
starting engine.
•
Set throttle handle (b) to ON.
•
Set choke handle (c) to FULL.
•
At temperatures under 10 °C use fuel pump
(d) before start. Pump twice at temperatures
down to -10 °C and four or five times at
temperatures under -10 °C. Cover air hole in
pump (d) with a finger while pressing the
pump, release between presses.
•
Pull starting handle (a) quickly all the way out
to start engine. Note! Do not allow the chord
to recoil freely as the handle may become
damaged upon impact with the machine.
