Remove key

for emergency operation of
convertible top from the tool kit.

Insert key

into the convertible-top lock
(Fig. 56) and turn anti-clockwise until the
latching hook is fully extended (noticeable
resistance when turning).

Using your hand, grasp the convertible top at the
convertible top motor (Fig. 57) and pull it to
the windshield frame.

To fully close the convertible top, turn key
H
clockwise until the latching hook fully engages
in the catch and the convertible top is completely
closed (noticeable resistance when turning
Fig. 58).
CAUTION
Risk of Injury due to
Crushing during Closing
If body parts are located within the range of
movement of the convertible top or in the area of the
convertible top lock during closing, there is a risk of
pinching or crushing.
e
Pay attention to the following:
– that no persons are within the range of movement
of the convertible top during closing.
– Keep your hands away from the movement area
of the convertible top and the area around the
convertible-top lock.
