CHECK THE WATER PARAMETERS
At the beginning of all new season and at the moment of installing the device, check and correct the
following points imperatively:
State of the
water
Clear, free from seaweeds and sediments.
Be careful with natural water sources (drilling waters)
!
Preferably use water from the public water supply. Avoid using any water from natural sources
(rain, run off water, reservoirs, and wells).
TAC / TH
The water must be correctly balanced (TAC, TH) :
The TAC (Permanent Hardness) indicates the bicarbonates rate dissolved in water
and it has to be included between 10° and 30° f.
The TH, indicates the hardness of water, it means the content in salts of calcium or
magnesium dissolved in water.
The hardness of water should not exceed 60°f.
PH
Stabilized between 7.0 and 7.4
Important :
Whatever is the system of chemical process, the efficiency of the chlorine decreases
very quickly with the increase of the pH and the scale deposits appear all the more fast as the pH
rate is high or unstable.
After, to maintain your pH value to advised range, you have to use exclusively a pH corrector (acid
or base) recommended by your adviser. Don’t ever use muriatic acid. It is advised to always install
an automatic pH regulation.
Stabilizer level
Below to 35 ppm (mg/l).
Important:
Stabilizer or cyanuric iso acid has for function to protect chlorine against UV
effects. A too high level could be stopped disinfectant effect provided by chlorine
developed on device. You have to be lower stabilizer lever with professional
recommendations.
Free chlorine
level
Around 1 ppm (mg/l). If it is necessary, you have to make shocking chlorination.
