POSSIBLE CAUSES
ADVICE
1
The pump has not primed
Perform the priming procedure again.
2
Insufficient rotation speed
Increase the number of motor revolutions compatibly with all
other operating parameters.
Replace the impeller with a larger diameter.
3
Prevalence of the system higher than the design one
Increase the number of revolutions of the motor compatibly with
all other operating parameters or replace the impeller with a
larger diameter. Reduce the prevalence of the plant.
4
Wrong direction of rotation
Reverse the direction of rotation of the electric motor.
5
Presence of air pockets in the suction line
Change the course of the suction pipe.
6
Air inlet in the suction line
Check the tightness of the piping.
7
Viscosity, density or specific weight of the pumped liquid
higher than the design parameters
Report the liquid conditions to the design conditions, if necessary
consult our technical office.
8
Impeller blocked
Remove, clean and free the impeller from any foreign bodies.
9
Obstructed pipes
Clean pipes and valves.
10 Excessive speed
If possible reduce the speed.
11 Prevalence of the system lower than the design one
Act on the delivery pipe regulation valve.
Reduce the impeller diameter (contact our technical office).
12 Pump not suitable for the conditions of use
Contact our technical department.
13
Misalignment of the transmission coupling between
pump and motor
Realign the transmission joint.
14 Bearings excessively worn
Replace the bearings.
15 Incorrect motor voltage / motor not working
Adjust the supply voltage / Change the motor.
16 Pump and/or pipes incorrectly fixed
Tighten the fixing bolts.
17 Worn or damaged pump with excessive internal play
Review the pump.
18 Worn coupling parts worn
Replace the transmission joint plugs.
19 Unbalanced impeller for wear, deposit or encrustations
Disassemble, clean, balance and/or replace the impeller.
20 Forces and misalignments on the pump caused by pipes
Realign and support the pipes.
21 Oil unsuitable or of insufficient quantity
Restore the oil level or replace it with a suitable one.
22 The pump worked dry
Restore the correct operating conditions.
23 Presence of water in the support
Check the mechanical seals for wear and replace them if
necessary. Replace bearings and lubricating oil.
24 Damaged mechanical seals
Disassemble, overhaul or change the mechanical seals.
