2. General function description
The HDM 2 C/IP is an MPEG encoder with integrated DVB modulator. Up to 2 HDMI signals can be encoded and up
to 4 program bouquets can be provided in DVB-C which contain of the HDMI and the ASI IN signals. The integrated
modulator generates DVB compliant signals that contain all the necessary program and service tables (PAT, PMT and
SDT). A NIT will be also generated. The output signals are also available in parallel at an IP interface and as well as at
2 ASI transport stream outputs for further processing. The devices supports the encoding of MPEG2 HD/SD and
MPEG4/AVC H.264 HD/SD signals, which can be supplied as HDMI signals and ASI transport streams, e.g. from re-
ceivers, decoders or cameras.
Depending on the application, the devices are preconfigured on the hardware side. Via the integrated user interface
(operating keys or web browser), the operating parameters can be adapted to the application.
Note
After a power failure, all data is retained.
