Introduction to TexJet
The
TexJet
is an inkjet printer that has been made to print on almost any type of
garment or fabric material as cottons, polyester, wool, leather etc, depending on
the inks that are used (Pigment, Disperse, Acid, and Reactive). The TexJet normally
uses pigment inks, which are more convenient to work with the most types of
garment.
TexJet
can use up to 8 colors (2xCMYK, CMYK+4xWhite or other combinations).
The system
is based on a standard inkjet technology (the Epson 4800 printer is the
heart of the system). The printer has been modified to work with the PolyPrintRIP
software which is included with your
TexJet
. The printer could work with other RIP
software’s, but only with special settings and under special conditions. Polyprint
cannot guarantee a 100% compatibility with other software’s.
PolyPrintRIP is used to print the white underbase (under the colors) and for
highlight (to boost the white). PolyPrintRIP is
only
a PC/Windows based program. If
you are a MAC user, you can create the image on a Macintosh and then use a PC as
a workstation to print from
.
You can create the images in your favorite program
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Corel Draw and then simply import them
into PolyPrintRIP to print to shirts.
TexJet
prints on 100% cotton with the best results. It will print also on 50%
cotton/50% polyester blends, and many other natural and synthetic materials.
