IMPORTANT:
The recommended method to troubleshoot or replace the pump is to remove the entire filtration system. Please drain enough water from the
pool so that the water level is below the skimmer opening. Then remove the entire skimmer system following steps 1 - 6 above.
REMEMBER TO KEEP ALL PARTS IN A SAFE PLACE FOR REASSEMBLY LATER.
CAUTION:
If you prefer to leave the skimmer filtration system attached to the pool we recommend having two people available to follow the process below.
PLEASE NOTE: The incorrect handling method may cause damage resulting in water leakage between the canister and liner wall.
PUMP DISASSEMBLY & STORAGE
PUMP REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR TROUBLESHOOTING
1. First, turn the pump off and unplug the main power cord of the system.

and remove any chlorine tablets left inside the core section of the filter.
3. Loosen all the Hose Clamps

, Remove the Return Hose

and allow water to drain out.
4. Remove the Return Fitting

and clean the parts. Lubricate the Fitting Gasket

with petroleum jelly and reassemble all parts.
5. Remove the Pump Motor Assembly

from the Skimmer Canister

by removing the Pump Mounting Screws

using a Phillips Head screwdriver. Then
clean the pump, dry it off, and lubricate the O-rings

on the pump with petroleum jelly.
6. Hold the Skimmer Canister

securely so that it won't fall. Then remove the Hex Screws

, and lastly the
Canister. Also, clean and dry the Filter Cartridge.
7. Store all the parts together in a dry environment that remains above 32 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.

2. Remove the skimmer lock top, skimmer strainer basket, filter cartridge and any chlorine tablets left inside the core section of the filter cartridge.

3. Unscrew the Locking Ring

remove the Return Fitting Diverter

or unsnap
(snap-on style) the Return Fitting Diverter

insert the Service Plug

to block the water
while troubleshooting.
4. Caution this step takes two people. Be prepared to get wet even if you have drained
the pool to below the skimmer opening as the canister may still contain water.
One person should hold the pump skimmer canister firmly in place while the other
person removes the pump from the bottom of the canister using a screwdriver to
remove the pump mounting screws

DO NOT pull or push the canister as this may cause damage between canister and
pool liner wall.

5. After removing the pump from the canister, you can save your pool
water by carefully inserting the second service plug from the top of
the canister into the center hole at the bottom of the canister.
