TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1.
Now thread the Water Cap onto the Suction Fitting and hand tighten it only!
2. Slowly unscrew the Vent Screw from the Seal Top allowing the filter system to depressurize.
3. Remove the Seal Top Retainer by turning counter-clockwise to unscrew. Remove the Seal Top . Remove the Filter Cartridge and remove any chlorine
tablets left inside the core section of the filter.
4. Loosen all four Hose Clamps , remove the Suction and Return Hoses , and allow water to drain out.
5. Clean and dry all filter pump parts including filter cartridges.
6. Liberally lubricate the O-rings , at the Seal Top and on the Vent Screw , with petroleum jelly, and then reassemble it along with the Seal Top ,
Seal Top Retainer , Vent Screw onto the Filter Case . Store all filter parts carefully.

Motor fails to
start or kicks
on and off
A Unit must be plugged into a 3-wire grounded power outlet. Press the reset button on the
GFCI to start the pump.
B Reset the GFCI plug and/or circuit breaker. If problem persists, have the circuit
checked by a qualified electrician.
C Check the line voltage, it must be in the range of 105 to 125 Volts A.C.
No flow or slow
water flow through
the return hose.
Filter pump is not
cleaning the pool
properly. (water
cloudy, green, etc...
Water leakage
A Fill the pool to the fill line. The suction fitting must be at least 4” under water.
A Maintain chlorine level between 1.0 to 1.6 ppm.
B Maintain pH level between 7.3 to 7.8.
C Clean or replace the filter cartridge (See page 12). A spare cartridge makes service more
convenient
D Inspect the filter cartridge for holes or tears. If visibly damaged; replace the filter cartridge
E Check for obstructions in the suction hose or fitting and in the return hose or fitting.
G Chemicals are required to maintain clean pool water. Clean pool and filter more often.

A Make sure the hose clamp is positioned properly over the hose and O-ring
to ensure a proper seal. Adjust hose clamp, check o-ring and re-tighten.
Check hose for any holes or cracks and replace if needed.
All items should be stored in a dry environment that remains above 32 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.
