5) HOW TO SET THE APPLIANCE IN MANUAL MODE
If the appliance is off: turn the appliance on by pressing the main switch (

). When it is turned on,
the appliance starts in manual mode (
MA
).
If the appliance is set in programmed mode: when pressing the SET key (
3
), the indicator (
8A
)
starts to flash. Using the UP (
4
) and DOWN (
5
) keys it is possible to selected the programme MA.
Press OK to confirm the selection.
5.1 ) SET THE SUCTION LEVEL IN MANUAL MODE
By just pressing the suction button (
A4
) it is possible to start vacuuming. By holding the button (
A4
)
down it is possible to select the suction speed desired based on how dirty the surface is. By increa-
sing the suction power, the sections of the indicator (
8C
) increase; when reducing the suction po-
wer, the segments decrease.
The suction function can be adjusted to 4 levels of strength, for cleaning:
- level 1: curtains
- level 2: sofas and cushions
- level 3: rugs/carpets
- level 4: floors or for suctioning liquids
To stop the suction just press button (
A4
) once. Suction will stop.
N.B. When the appliance is turned back on, the suction level is the one that was set the last time it
was used.
5.2 ) SET THE STEAM LEVEL IN MANUAL MODE
Turn on the boiler using the UP (
4
) key. The two indicators (
8B
) and (
8F
) start to flash.
Select the steam pressure desired by pressing the UP (
4
) key again. In fact, every time the key is
pressed, one of the steam pressure indicators goes on (
8B
) with a resulting increase in the pres-
sure of the steam being supplied.
The DOWN (
5
) key performs the reverse function; in other words, every time the DOWN (
5
) key is
pressed there is a decrease in the steam pressure and the indicators go off (
8B
).
It is possible to regulate up to 4 levels of steam:
- Strong steam: (4 indicators lit) to remove scale, stains, grease and to sanitise;
- Normal steam: (2 or 3 indicators lit) for carpets, rugs, glass, parquet and floors;
- Gentle steam: (1 indicator on) to steam plants, clean delicate fabrics, wall coverings and sofas.
After setting the level desired, wait until the indicator light (
8B
) stays on. This means that the pres-
sure of the steam corresponds to the one actually selected and the appliance is ready to be used.
Press the button (
A5
) on the handle to dispense steam over the surface to be cleaned and the in-
dicator (
8D
) lights up.
To stop the steam flow, simply release the button (
A5
).
N.B. When first operating it, there may be some drops of water mixed with the steam due to imper-
fect thermal stabilization. We therefore recommend that the first jet of steam be directed onto a
rag.
