cloth. On vertical washable surfaces, wallpaper
and ceilings, fasten a dry cloth on the brush and
proceed as for the floor. We advise to use a
sponge cover (e.g. an old bath towel)
Vaporetto is ideal for cleaning hygienically both
synthetic and wool rugs as well as for most types
of carpet. Move the brush towards your feet on
the surface without the cloth to loosen the dirt,
then fasten a cotton cloth to the brush, fixing it
on the clips (

8A

), then wipe again the surface to

pick up the dirt in the cloth.
Fold a cotton cloth over 2 or 3 times according to
the length and resistance of the pile. Move the
brush rapidly on the pile without applying any
pressure, moving the brush to and fro and late-
rally without concentrating for a long time in the
same place. The treatment can be repeated as
frequently as you wish over time, as drying very
quickly on most surfaces. In case of particularly
dirty or full of detergents pile, do not insist for a
long time; the results will be evident after a num-
ber applications of Vaporetto over time. Obstina-
te stains may require the direct use of the hand-
gun (from a distance of 5-10 cm) prior to the
above indicated treatment, then clean the stain
with a cloth.

SMALL BRUSH (12)

To connect the small brush to the sheath or
to the extension tubes, first attach the redu-
cer (12C) to the small brush (12) so that the
two arrows found on the two components li-
ne up (fig.7).After this, insert the lance (5),
turning it until it is hooked into place with the
accessory (fig. 8).

The small brush is used whenever the big brush
is too big or impractical to be used.
The small brush can be used for:
• furnishing fabrics (after testing on invisible

parts-see WARNINGS above at start of “TIPS
FOR BETTER UNIT PERFORMANCE”. DO
NOT USE ON DRALON, VELVET OR OTHER
SIMILAR PILE OR DELICATE SURFACES.

• small window surfaces
• tiles and other small surfaces
To clean wood (doorposts, floors etc) do not
point the steam directly but cover the big or
small brush with a double-folded cotton cloth.
For furniture cleaning direct the steam jet onto a
dry cotton cloth, and then clean with the cloth.
The warm moisture on the cloth traps the dust,

spots and the static electricity so that the furnitu-
re stays clean longer as there is no detergent
film for new dust to stick to..
The following two accessories can be applied to
the small brush:

12A – Cloth for small brush:

Fit the cloth over

the small brush and clean the surfaces to be
treated.

12B – Window-cleaning tool for small brush:

Apply the tool to the small brush (without the
cloth (

12A

)) as shown in Figure 9. Window-clea-

ning is carried out in two stages:
• Deliver of steam onto the surface to be clea-

ned, by operating the steam delivery lever (

4

),

to dissolve the dirt;

• Pass the window-cleaning tool over the surfa-

ce to remove the dirt, without delivering any
more steam.

LANCE (5)

The lance can be used to direct the flow of
steam towards hidden corners that are difficult to
reach with the steam sprayer. It is ideal for clea-
ning radiators, door and window jambs, sanitary
fixtures and shutters. It is an extremely useful
and indispensable accessory. The following ac-
cessories can be fitted to the lance:

6A – Curved tip for lance:

suitable for reaching

even more inaccessible points, thanks to its cur-
ved shape.

6B - Small round brush and 6C - Large round
brush - 6D) Brush with brass bristles:

suitable

for removing caked dirt from very narrow surfa-
ces such as cooker burners, roller shutters,
joints between tiles, sanitary fixtures, etc.
Select the most appropriate brush, based on the
size and material of the surface to be treated.
To connect accessories

6A-6B-6C

or

6D

to the

lance (

5

), simply fit these accessories onto the

tip of the lance exerting a slight pressure
(Fig.10).
