General Motor Change Procedure
– Clipper Vac® Units –
You Will Need
●
Phillips Screwdriver
●
Utility Knife
●
Wire Tool (works as a cutter / crimper)
●
New Motor(s)
●
Silicone Caulking
●
5/16 Ratchet
Step 1
Unplug the Clipper Vac®.
Step 2
Unscrew wing nut from the bottom of your filter. Pull down on filter to
remove.
Step 3
Locate Lid. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the lid.
Rotate screwdriver left to loosen screws. Cut the silicone seal away from the
lid.
Note:
Tote®, Model 1® & Model 1A® models do not have a silicone seal.
Peel back foam.
Step 4
Using your wire cutters, cut the ground wire end closest to the motor.
Note:
The ground wire is the yellow-green wire.
Step 5
Locate the white wire with the blue wire end. Gently pull up to unplug the
wire
Step 6
Locate the black wire with the brass wire end. Gently pull up to unplug the
wire
Step 7
Using your 5/16 ratchet, loosen the motor clamp.
Step 8
Remove Clamp. After the clamp is removed you should notice a little piece of
cardboard stuck to the black motor boot. Pull it off and set it aside.
