1.4 The mop handle is height-adjustable: grasp
the two parts of the aluminium handle and turn
the upper part anti-clockwise to release it, then
adjust to the desired height and complete the
operation turning the upper part clockwise (10),
firmly tighten.
1.5 Fill the water tank of the base: press the up-
per door PUSH (11) to open it, fill up to Max ca-
pacity 0.7 l (12) and close by pressing the door
again.
This operation must always be carried out
with the power cable disconnected from the
mains.
1.6 Unwind the power cable completely and
connect it to an appropriate socket (13).
The red power indicator light will come on
(14) (
). After a few seconds Moppy is
ready.
2. FLOOR CLEANING AND SANITISING
Use the product on surfaces that have pre-
viously swept or vacuumed.
Ensure that section 1 has been followed.
2.1 Attach the microfiber cloth supplied to the
mop. To make it easier to attach, the cloth has
an easy lock/release system to avoid having
to bend over and use your hands. Just place
the cleaning side of the cloth on the floor and
rest the mop on top of it (15-16).
2.2 Place the mop with cloth onto the base,
aligning the arrow of the brush with the arrow
of the base (18). Misalignment of the arrows
prevents Moppy from functioning.
2.3 When the brush is properly resting on the
base, the base will start delivering steam onto
the cloth. Steam delivery is signalled by the
flashing red indicator light (14).
The green indicator light (
) (19) will come
on after about 20 seconds indicating that the
cloth has been sanitised. The delivery of
steam can be extended to further dampen
the cloth.
The first time it is used, we recommend lea-
ving the mop on the base for an additonal
few seconds in order to ensure the cloth is
steamed evenly.
2.4 Clean floors by moving the mop over the
surface to be treated.
When the cloth appears to be dry, return the
mop to the base and re-steam the cloth.
The indicator light (
) (19) will come on af-
ter about 20 seconds indicating that the cloth
has been sanitized.
It is however always possible to leave the
mop on the base longer so as to steam the
cloth more. For particularly porous or rough
floors, it is recommended to extend the stea-
ming time so the cloth is sufficiently steam-
charged.
2.5 The cloth can be replaced at any time du-
ring cleaning operations.
2.6 Standby parking: you can place the mop
on the base without activating steam delivery
during cleaning operations; place the brush
with the arrow facing outwards (20) and in-
sert the telescopic tube into the lock (23).
3. CLEANING VERTICAL SURFACES
Moppy can clean and sanitise all vertical wa-
shable surfaces, such as walls with tiles, mar-
ble coverings, shower interiors, cabinet doors,
etc.
3.1 Attach a clean microfiber cloth to the mop,
then steam the cloth as described in points
2.2 - 2.3.
3.2 When the cloth is ready, clean the surface
to be treated and return to the base to steam
the cloth again whenever necessary.
4. DUST CATCHING FUNCTION
WARNING: Do not add other substances or
additives to the tank.
Before using Moppy on delicate surfaces
check that there are no foreign objects that
may cause scratches between the cloth and
the surface.
Wait for the cloth to cool before removing it
from the mop. Simply place a foot on the tab
of the cloth and pull the mop upwards to re-
move the cloth (17).
WARNING: Do not use the mop without the
cloth.
WARNING: Moving the mop away from the
base stop the delivery of steam. For additio-
nal safety, the steam delivery switches itself
off after 60 seconds: Moppy enters auto-
lock mode. To resume delivery, it is neces-
sary to detach the mop from its base, wait 15
seconds for reset and then place the mop
back on the base and proceed as per point
2.2.
WARNING: For delicate surfaces, perform a
cleaning test on a hidden area, let it dry and
ensure that no changes in colour or deforma-
tions have occurred.
Before using Moppy on delicate surfaces
check that there are no foreign objects that
may cause scratches between the cloth and
the surface.
