WINCH OPERATION
The 2005 Sportsmans are pre--wired with the proper
Warn
t
winch wiring for quick and easy installation of
a Warn
t
Winch in the front. Refer to the installation
instructions with the winch kit for more details on
proper installation.

Winch Handlebar Controls
The winch is located in the front bumper area.
The mini--rocker (IN/OUT) control controls the
direction of the cable for the winch.

feeds the cable out of the
winch.

Winch Control
The winch control located on the side of the winch
gives the operator easy access to switch between
ENGAGED
and
FREESPOOL
.
When the winch is ENGAGED, the winch only allows
the cable to be pulled IN or released OUT via the
mini--rocker switch on the handlebar.
When the winch is FREESPOOL, the winch allows
the cable to be pulled out freely.
NOTE:
The switch
on the handlebar does not need to be pushed OUT
when using FREESPOOL.
