the stylus into the drawing area for about five seconds. This fea-
ture is disabled if the keyboard is connected.
Marker and Cursor Movement
Unlike a mouse controller, a tablet allows users to make drawings and place
pointers with absolute positioning. Absolute positioning means that the posi-
tion of the stylus on the tablet surface corresponds directly to the position of
the pointer on the screen. For example, if you place the stylus in the lower-left
corner of the tablet active area, the active pointer will “jump” to the lower-left
corner of the screen.

Five: Using Markers” starting on page 59.
