I. Technical data

II. Important notes on handling with hoisting gear
1. This instruction document must be read before use and made accessible to the operator on
the product.
2. The operator must be properly instructed on how to use the product. Never leave the product
unsupervised when loaded.
3. Never exceed the lifting capacity indicated on the nameplate. Do not pull lifting ropes or
chains of the installed hoist over edges.
4. Never lift persons with the product. Never lift loads over areas where persons may stay.
5. This product must be checked by an expert at least once in a year, or even more frequent in
case of heavy-duty applications. Ask your dealer or PLANETA. The user is liable for damages
and is responsible to obtain appropriate inspection certificates.
6. Before use check the product for damages, loosened screws or deformation and correct any
faults.
7. Repair work on PLANETA hoisting gear or its parts is only allowed to be carried out by the
manufacturer or an authorized service center with PLANETA spare parts.
8. Have supporting structures, slinging gear, suspensions, tie-bars etc. checked by an expert for
carrying capacity and load conditions.
9. Non-compliance with the instructions, improper use, corrosion due to insufficient protection or
unauthorized product modifications will render the guarantee null and void.
10. Risk of corrosion in case of permanent contact with bad weather such as high humidity of air
or detrimental environmental effects such as atmospheres with acid fumes, corrosive gases or
high dust concentration. Such conditions will cause premature wearing. This is not covered by
the guarantee.
11. For further information or part lists please ask the manufacturer or your authorized dealer.
III. Specific safety instructions
1. Make sure that the jib crane is carefully installed.
2. Tighten all screws using the washers and retaining rings.
3. Check the stability of the tube on which the jib crane is to be mounted. Have this checked by a
structural engineer in any case. Make sure that slipping away, buckling or tilting is impossible.
4. Check the clamps for damages and safe rest on a regular basis
