❖
The appliance is equipped with a pyrolytic self-cleaning programme which
enables an easier cleaning of the interior of the oven.
❖
The word pyrolysis comes from the Greek (pyro = fire / heat, lysis =
dissolution / cleavage) and describes a thermo-chemical cleavage of organic
compounds by high temperatures.
❖
The pyrolytic self-cleaning programme works with intense heat. When the
pyrolytic self-cleaning programme is started, the oven heats up to more than 400
degrees Celsius (
0
C). Dirt particles are burned and remain in the oven as ash. After
cooling down, the ash can be removed easily using a microfibre cloth.
The efficiency of the pyrolytic self-cleaning programme always depends on the
degree of soiling of the oven.
