4. POWER OFF CIRCUIT FOR PROTECTION
This unit is provided with various protection circuits. When
these protection circuits operate, the P.D. (Power Down) operates
to turn OFF the relay (RY3001) and turn OFF the power of the
unit. When P.D. operates, the power goes off after the LED
(D3807) emits light.
1) Power supply PD circuit
Over-voltage protection circuit (O.V.P.)
Detects the overvoltage of the power supplies B (TP3101:
215V), VSUS (TP3301: 170V), VADR (TP3401: 60V),
VCC (TP3201: 5V), VCSP (40V) and operates P.D.
Voltage drop protection circuit (U.V.P.)
Detects the voltage drop by the overload of the power
supplies VSUS (170V), VADR (60V), VCP (12V),
+13.5V, and VCC (5V) and operates P.D.
Overvoltage input protection circuit
When voltage above approximately 200V is input to the
AC power input, it operates P.D.
2) DRIVE ASSY overvoltage protection circuit
Operates P.D. when the DC-DC CONV. output (VRN, VH)
in the X DRIVE (A) ASSY, Y DRIVE (A) ASSY becomes
overvoltage.
3) DRIVE ASSY undervoltage protection circuit
Operates P.D. when the DC-DC CONV. output (VH) in the
Y DRIVE (A) ASSY becomes undervoltage.

4) DRIVE ASSY overcurrent protection circuit
Detects the overcurrent of the VCP (12V) supplied to the
X DRIVE (A)/(B) ASSY and Y DRIVE (A)/(B) ASSY,
and operates P.D.
Detects overcurrent flowing to R5032 (390 W, 3W) in the
Y DRIVE (A) ASSY and Y DRIVE (B) ASSY, and
operates P.D.
5) FAN stop protection circuit
Operates P.D. when the internal fan stops.
Does not operate when the external fan stops.
6) Temperature detection protection circuit
Operates P.D. when the external temperature exceeds
approximately 55 ˚C.
The STANDBY/ON indicator blinks in green only when this
detection circuit is working.
