When the separately sold display is connected to this
unit, the listed information will appear on it.
Information display
These are the basic steps necessary to play an
MP3 with your DVD player. More advanced
MP3 operation is explained starting on page
43.

MP3 indicator
Shows when the MP3 file is playing.

REAR indicator
Shows when the DVD player is operated
from rear seats.

Folder number indicator
Shows the folder number currently playing.

On the head unit
s display, if the folder
number is more than 100,

in the folder
number indicator will be disappeared.

Play time indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur-
rent track.

If the play time is more than 100 minutes,
only the last two digits of play time (min-
ute) is displayed on the head unit

play.

Track number indicator
Shows the track currently playing.
!
If a track number 100 to 199 is selected,
d
will light up above the last two digits
of the track number.

If a track number 200 or more is selected,
d
will blink above the last two digits of
the track number.
Note
If you set
A-PLY: OFF
,
REAR
will be displayed on
the head unit
s display when you insert a disc
into disc loading slot, regardless of whether the
rear display is connected to this unit or not.
Basic operation of MP3
1 Press

to select a folder.

You cannot select a folder that does not have
an MP3 file recorded in it.

To return to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND
. However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files, playback commences with folder 02.
2 To perform fast forward or reverse,
press and hold

.

This is fast forward and reverse operation only
for the file being played. This operation is can-
celed when the previous or next file is reached.
