Using subwoofer output
This unit is equipped with a subwoofer output
which can be switched on or off. When a sub-
woofer is connected to the rear output, first,
switch the rear output setting to subwoofer,
then turn the subwoofer output on. For more
details, see
Switching the rear output setting
on
page 40.

When the rear output setting is subwoofer, you
can select

. Press

appears in the display.

to turn subwoofer output on.
SUB.W :ON
appears in the display. Subwoofer
output is now on.
• You can turn off subwoofer output by pressing

.

Adjusting subwoofer settings
When the subwoofer output is on, you can
adjust the cut-off frequency and the output level
of the subwoofer.

to select the subwoofer setting.
When the subwoofer output is on, you can
select the subwoofer setting. Press

appears in the display.
• If the subwoofer setting has been previously
adjusted, the frequency of that previously
selected will be displayed, such as
50Hz

125Hz
.

is displayed. Only frequencies lower than
those in the selected range are output from the
subwoofer.

Using the high pass filter
When you do not want low sounds from the
subwoofer output frequency range to play from
the front speakers, switch the HPF (high pass
filter) on. Only frequencies higher than those in
the selected range are output from the front
speakers.

When the rear output setting is subwoofer, you
can select
