is an adjusted equalizer curve
that you create. If you make adjustments to
an equalizer curve, the equalizer curve set-
ting is memorized in
CUSTOM
.

When
FLAT
is selected, no supplement or
correction is made to the sound. This is
useful to check the effect of the equalizer
curves by switching alternatively between
FLAT
and a set equalizer curve.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
PRESET EQUALIZER.

Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the
setting mode.

Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select the
equalizer.

Adjusting equalizer curves
The factory supplied equalizer curves, with the
exception of
FLAT
, can be adjusted to a fine
degree (nuance control).

EQ SETTING 1.

setting mode.

Press MULTI-CONTROL to select the seg-
ment you wish to set.

the segment in the following order:

Turn MULTI-CONTROL to adjust the
level of the equalization band.

You can then select another band and adjust

The equalizer curve with all frequencies set to

cannot be adjusted.
Note
A separate
CUSTOM
curve can be created for
each source. (The built-in CD player and the
multi-CD player are set to the same equalizer ad-
justment setting automatically.) If you make ad-
justments, the equalizer curve settings are
memorized in
CUSTOM
.
Fine-adjusting equalizer curve
You can adjust the center frequency and the Q
factor (curve characteristics) of each currently
selected curve band (
LOW

MID
/
HI
).
