OPERATION PANEL FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS
This remote controller can directly control the
TVs and VCRs of major manufacturers. At the
time of shipment the remote controller is preset
to operate Pioneer TVs and VCRs.
Setting TV Codes
The remote controller can control the following
7 functions by entering a TV brand code from
the attached list.
• TV on/standby (or off)
• TV volume up/down
• TV channel up/down
• Sound mute on/off
• Switch between TV/VCR input
1 While pressing the remote controller TV
STANDBY
button (
B
on the illustration), en-
ter the desired 4-digit TV brand code. (Refer
to the attached list.) This completes the set-
ting.
2 Again pressing the TV
STANDBY
button (
B
on the illustration) will either turn the TV on
or set it to standby (off).
3 If the TV does not operate, repeat the opera-
tion in Step
1
above, or enter a different code
for the same brand.
NOTE:
It might not be possible to set some TV
brands or models.
Setting VCR Codes
The remote controller can control the following
7 functions by entering a VCR brand code from
the attached list.
• VCR on/standby (or off)
• VCR Play, Record, Stop, Pause, For
ward, Rewind
1 While pressing the remote controller VCR
STANDBY
button (

on the illustration), en-
ter the desired 4-digit VCR brand code. (Refer
to the attached list.) This completes the set-
ting.
2 Again pressing the VCR
STANDBY
button (
A
on the illustration) will either turn the VCR on
or set it to standby (off).
3 If the VCR does not operate, repeat the opera-
tion in Step
1
above, or enter a different code
for the same brand.
NOTE:
It might not be possible to set some VCR
brands or models.
