Timer alarm
In order for the timer to be activated the digital receiver must be left in standby mode–Do not turn
it off. When the timer is activated the message "rEC" is displayed by the front panel.
Before you switch into standby you can watch other digital channels while the timer is set by just
changing the channels as you normally would. The timer alarm will sound and the message "rEd"
will be displayed by the front panel if you are watching another digital channel when the timer is
about to be activated. At this time, press the remote controller
RED
button to display the following
screen.
The screen will prompt you to select one of two options: to activate the timer or to continue watch-
ing the current channel.
• To continue watching the current channel, press the
RED
button again.
• To change to the channel set in the timer and activate the timer, press the
SELECT
button.
IMPORTANT:
The above procedure will cause the digital receiver to be activated at the set time, but do not
forget that you will also need to program your VCR to the same time to record the programme.
