SAFETY INFORMATION
1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The following check sho u ld be performed for the
contin u ed protection of the c u stomer and service
technician.
LEAKAGE CURRENT CHECK
Meas u re leakage c u rrent to a known earth gro u nd
(water pipe, cond u it, etc.) by connecting a leakage
c u rrent tester s u ch as Simpson Model 229-2 or
eq u ivalent between the earth gro u nd and all exposed
metal parts of the appliance (inp u t/o u tp u t terminals,
screwheads, metal overlays, control shaft, etc.). Pl u g
the AC line cord of the appliance directly into a 120 V
AC 60 Hz o u tlet and t u rn the AC power switch on. Any
c u rrent meas u red m u st not exceed 0.5 mA.
ANY MEASUREMENTS NOT WITHIN THE LIMITS
OUTLINED ABOVE ARE INDICATIVE OF A POTENTIAL
SHOCK HAZARD AND MUST BE CORRECTED BEFORE
RETURNING THE APPLIANCE TO THE CUSTOMER.
