Installing the unit
CAUTION!
When installing the unit, please note the following:
• For reasons of stability, the wall thickness of the front panel, console or
control cabinet may not be less than 2.5 mm.
• To avoid a build-up of heat, a distance of a 10 cm/3.94" should be
maintained all round the system.
• Ensure that you comply with the information stated for ambient and
operating temperatures in the ATEX regulations and technical details.
• IP65 (front panel) and IP64 (housing) protection can only be guaranteed if
- the fixing screws are sufficiently tightened.
- the gasket is not damaged.
- the wall thickness is at least 2.5 mm.
• Protect the system from falling, i.e. ensure that the fixing screws are firmly
in place.
Notice
When tightening the fixing screws, avoid having too high a torque. This can
damage the gasket and front plate.
When installing the unit in a front panel, proceed as follows:
• Insert the PMI into the prepared cutout from the front.
Use appropriate measures to stop the unit falling out of the front panel
before it is finally secured.
• Feed the mounting hooks belonging to the 5 supplied fastening kits into
the corresponding cutouts on the PMI housing.
• Use the screws provided to mount the PMI in the front panel from behind.
• Check that the unit is installed correctly.
