Installation
Install the unit in a control cabinet with minimum protection type to IP 54.
The housing can be attached to a DIN-Rail mounting.
Connection
When connecting the unit, ensure:
• The unit is only wired when voltage is not applied
• Make sure that the supply voltage range stated on the type label
corresponds to the line-to-line voltage on the supply.
• For the connections L1, L2 and U only use superfast semiconductor
fuses
• When testing the wiring use a unit specifically for semiconductors
(e.g. no electrical buzzer)
• Torque setting for the connection termianls may be a maximum of
0.6 Nm
Connect the braking unit as shown in the internal wiring diagrams Fig. 3
and 4. Terminals Y11 and Y12 must not be assigned on units with an
internal brake contactor.
The terminals V' and W' are only available on the PKB-MS. (Application
examples see Fig. 5 to Fig. 8.)
Using the folllowing terminals you can connect external units:
• Terminals Z11-Z12/Z22: Resistance (0 to 470
k
W
) for brake time setting,
• Terminals Z21-Z12/Z22: Resistance (0 to 470
k
W
) for brake current
setting,
• Terminals Z31-Z32: PTC-thermistor for motor temperature monitoring
(Switch off when exceeded by 3.6
k
W
; if it falls below by
1.8 k
W
the fault can be reset).
• Terminals Y21-Y22-Y23 Y24/6: choice of interface module, e.g. for an
operator terminal, fault monitoring unit or an additional brake.
