2.4 Positioning and Range:

A radio range of approximately 164 feet can be reached and even more.

The radio range depends on local conditions. Transmitters on the same frequency

like garage door openers, radio thermometers, radio headphones, radio mouse or

radio keyboards and other obstacles between sender and receiver like walls can limit

the radio range.

Set up the receiver in a way that the range is not exeeded by any portion of your

layout. The receiver should have at least a 3 feet distance from transformers, digital

central station and the tracks. Do not lay the cable parallel to the tracks. If necessary

try several positions to determine the best location for the receiver.

3. Establish radio connection:

Please ensure to use a 2.4GHz Navigator system. The first connection (or re-

connection after a reset) will happen usually automatically. If this is not the case,

just bring the Navigator into connection mode. You find the required setting in the

Navigators menu. For further registrations or if the first registration was unsuccessful,

please press the push button on the receiver for 5 seconds until the status LED is

symmetrically blinking fastly.

While blinking, you can register another navigator. Already registered radio

participants can login without registration. If this does not work, it can either be

because the maximum capacity of users is reached (more than eight transmitters

on the list) or a reset has been initiated. The systems connection list always deletes

the oldest navigator first. Up to two navigators can be saved before deleting from

the connection list. For this, you have to select the Pri for „priority“ option in your

navigator menu (RC Config --> LogIn 2.4).

4. ID - Identification number:

The RC Receiver is passive and does not require an ID that can be configured by

the user. When registrating a Navigator, the central station automatically identifies

the receiver and allocates an ID.
