Passive 7-Channel VHF Separator-Combiner

Single Channel IN/OUT:
The signal for the indicated channel is inserted
or received at this connector.
2.
Combined Channel IN/OUT:
The combined signal of all channels is inserted
or received at this connector.
3.
LEVEL ATTEN:
This control reduces the output level of a
single channel.
4.
TUNING/COUPLER:
These controls are used for factory tuning
and adjustment.

Specifications
Used as a separator:
1.
Connect the cable from a VHF broadband antenna to the common
connection of the MX-7.
2.
Connect a cable from the MX-7 single channel outputs to channel-
ized amplifiers or combining system.
3.
Connect a signal level meter to the headend common test point
4.
Monitor level while adjusting the LEVEL ATTEN control for each
channel for equal level across all channels
Used as a combiner:
1.
Connect the cable from a single channel VHF antenna to the cor-
responding single channel connection of the MX-7. Repeat for each
channel input.
2.
Connect a signal level meter to the MX-7 common output.
3.
Monitor level while adjusting the LEVEL ATTEN control for each
channel for equal level across all channels
4.
Connect a cable from the MX-7 common connection to a VHF
amplifier or distribution system input.
