J1 Internal or External Program Memory
At the time of delivery, Jumper J1 is closed at position 1+2. This
default configuration means that the program stored in the external
program memory (Flash) is executed after a hardware reset. In order
to allow the execution of any code stored in the controller’s on-chip
memory, Jumper J1 must be closed at position 2+3.
The following configurations are possible:
Code Execution
J1
from external program memory
1 + 2*
from internal program memory
2 + 3

J2, J3 Pin 1 and Pin 23 on U1
On some controllers populating space U1 pins 1 and 23 are used for
VCC and GND connection. Closing both Jumpers J2 and J3 connects
the controller pins to the applicable potential on the module, hence
improves the EMI characteristics of the phyCORE-P8xC51Mx2. On
controllers with different pin functions these jumpers must remain
open.
The following configurations are possible:
U1 Connections
J2,J3
U1 pin 1 connected to GND,
U1 pin 23 connected to VCC

U1 pins 1 and 23 not connected
