Slection of installation Sites
As each installation is diffrent: the heifht of surrounding structures, wire length, and available open
space, the best place to install a wind turbine is often a compromise.
In general, the wind turbine will produce more power if installed on a taller tower. However, the price of
the tower increase along with the height of tower, so it is important to balance performance to installed
cost in order to achieve the lowest cost of energy and the quickest payback.
Recommendations:
• Install Phonowind 6.5m above any surrounding object within 50m radius
• L ≥ 5D (L: Distance between two towers, D: Rotor's diameter)
