Cause Corrective actions
Deceleration time is too short, causing too large
regenerative energy of the load.
Increase the setting value for Parameter Ramp time
Replace the CONTACTRON Speed Starter with a larger ca-
pacity model.
Power voltage is too high Check if the input voltage is within the rated CONTACTRON
Speed Starter input voltage range, and check for possible
voltage spikes.
Motor ground fault The ground short circuit current charges the capacitor in the
main circuit through the power. Check if there is ground fault
on the motor cable, wiring box and its internal terminals.
Troubleshoot the ground fault.

Reset method Auto Reconnect STO+ to 24V terminal and STO- to GND
terminal. Afterwards, it automatically resets.

Cause Corrective actions
No connection of the STO+ to 24V terminal and/or STO-
to GND terminal when motor is at standby or RUN.
Check if the STO+ is connected to 24V terminal and STO- to
GND terminal.
