Refitting the housing parts

-

Position the head assembly (fig.7A) and the PCB (fig.7B) in the
housing part without clip.
Mind the positioning of the PCB (fig.7C) and the battery spring
(fig.7F).

Place the housing part (with clip) directly over the
accompanying part, press the housing parts together at the right
hand side until the snap hooks (fig.7D) engage together. Now fit
the snap hook (fig.7G) at the top.

Mount the housing attachment inside the battery compartment
(fig.7E), mind the switch opening. Slide it upwards with the help
of a small screwdriver while pressing the housings together at
the bottom side.

4.2Programming of addresses

4.2.1 Explanation of the programming
Before the receiver can be used, the necessary addresses must be
programmed and set to the system configuration. This is achieved
by software programming and hardware setting.
The receiver addresses can be programmed wireless via the (alpha)
desk keyboard or telephone coupler LBB 5840 keypad.
Programming should be carried out by the installer or system
manager who allocates the call numbers of the receivers.

The programmed information is protected against loss (when
replacing main batteries) by a backup battery with a lifespan
between 5 and 10 years, for bleep and bleep display receivers only.
The speech and alphanumeric receivers have a built-in EEPROM to
safeguard the programmed information.

A display receiver displays the normal call address or, after pressing
the recall button, the group call addresses:

C C C C

normal call address

C C C C

first group call address

C C C C

second group call address

- - - - -

empty stack location

- - - - -

empty stack location

Notes:
-

If any of these addresses is left on the display for 6 seconds the
normal call address will automatically appear on the display
again.

One call address must be programmed.

-

A not programmed address contains the default value C C C C.

-

A decimal group call is transmitted when the address contains
an F in the 3 least significant digits:

xxxF, xxFx or xFxx

-

A decimal group call is possible with the normal call address and
the group call addresses.
Decimal group calls can be disabled by a solder link on the PCB.

-

Receivers can always be called with the “all call” address CCCC.

4.2.2 Programming switch
The receiver can be set in the programming mode by means of the
slide switch behind the battery compartment.

-

Switch off the receiver.

-

Slide the battery lock open, remove the battery cover and
remove the batteries.

-

Put the slide switch inside the battery cover in position “P” for
programming. If programming via wireless, place the batteries in
their correct position. If programming via the storage rack, the
batteries do not have to be placed (the power supply is fed via
the charging contacts).

Switch on the receiver.
A single 800 msec bleep indicates that the receiver is initialized
and ready for programming.
The receivers will initialize the addresses to C C C C.

4.2.3 Address programming via the keyboard of the control

desk LBB 58xx.

-

Press program key “-> “ followed by “0” key. The desk is now
in the address programming mode.

The desk display shows RAD:

-

Now enter the addresses one by one:
1 X3 X2 X1 X0  for normal call address
2 X3 X2 X1 X0  for the first group address
3 X3 X2 X1 X0  for the second group address.

Depending on the desk programming, address digits can be
fixed and call transmission is automatically generated or by
pressing the call transmit key “ _”.

-

After successful transmission the receiver bleeps in the rhythm
of the address level (wireless only) and a display receiver shows
the address A X3 X2 X1 X0 .
