4.2.4 Address programming via the keyboard of the

telephone coupler LBB 5840.

Enter on the keyboard:
C C C C O 1 A X3 X2 X1 X0   for the normal call address.
C C C C O 2 A X3 X2 X1 X0   for the group call address.
C C C C O 3 A X3 X2 X1 X0  for the group call address.

-

After successful transmission the receiver bleeps in the rhythm
of the address level (wireless only) and a display receiver shows
the address A X3 X2 X1 X0 .

4.2.5 Finishing the programming
-

Switch off the receiver.

-

Remove the batteries.

-

Put the slide switch inside the battery cover back in the selected
battery type position (middle or bottom).

-

Position the batteries, close and lock the battery cover.

-

Switch on the receiver and a short single bleep is heard. The

personal address is shown on the display (if present). The receiver is
now ready for use.

5. MISCELLANEOUS

5.1Removing the clip

-

Pull the clip completely open (fig.8A) by releasing the hook
(fig.8B).

-

First remove the clip from the right hinge position by pressing it
upwards. Now the left hinge can easily be removed.

-

The clip carrier can be removed by loosing the 2 screws
(fig.8C).

-

When no clip is used, the 2 small cups (fig.8D) stored behind
the clip carrier can be used for covering the screw holes.

-

Consult your local Philips representative or sales office for
other possibilities to carry the receiver.

5.2 Address sticker

For bleep only receivers, separate the housing parts (see par.4.1)
and put a sticker with the normal call address number on the display
block.

5.3 Identification

The product identification is attached to the VHF/UHF module and
inside the battery cover. The identification tag shows type and
stroke number for the frequency channel; hardware and software
release; serial nr; week nr. (battery cover only).

The cut-away on the housing at the side of the clip is meant for
intrinsically safe identification or local PTT information.
