2. If all leads are connected and there is not a good
signal, there may be a broken lead wire or the
connection between the leadset and the transmitter
is compromised due to dirt or corrosion. Remove
the leadset and make certain the leadset connector
in the top of the transmitter is not dirty or
corroded. If it is, clean or replace the connector.
If there is no dirt or corrosion, check that a leadset
with a telemetry leadset combiner block with latch
is used. Attach the leadset, (the leadset will click
when it locks). Then change the leadset. Check to
see if this fixes the problem.
If it does not, perform the following substeps:
a. Make certain the Front End Assembly to the
ECG PCB cable is connected (red tab
connector) properly or not broken. If the cable
is broken, replace the defective assembly
(ECG PCB or Front End Assembly).
b. Make certain that the 3/5 Lead Switch
connector is plugged-in properly. If it is,
replace the ECG PCB.
c. If replacing the ECG PCB does not resolve the
problem, replace the Front End Assembly.
TRANSMITTER OFF INO
If there is a
TRANSMITTER OFF
message at the central
station, this indicates that the transmitter has determined
that there has been a
LEADS OFF
condition on all leads
for the last 10 minutes or longer and has gone into RF
auto-shutoff.
1. Re-attach the leads to the patient. The transmitter
will turn on automatically.
