ENCODER: This is a combination of a
magnet rotating on the shaft at the end of
the motor, and Hall effect transistors that
send pulses to the control every time the
motor turns. When the door is powered up it
will open slowly and allow the encoder and
processor to count the pulses from fully
closed to fully open. These pulses are used
to indicate when a door should go into
backcheck or when its at its open limit.
