Product description
The transmitter TPR 270 is equipped with a temperature-compensated Pirani sensor
and enables total pressure measurements in the range of 1 • 10
-4
... 1000 hPa. Is the
transmitter being operated with a controller, a calibration factor can be applied for cor-
rection of the non-linear characteristics in the pressure range < 0.5 hPa for different gas-
es.

Function
This sensor is based on the thermal conductivity of gases for vacuum pressure measure-
ments (Pirani principle). A thin tungsten wire is heated up cyclically to a certain temper-
ature. The time required for heating is a measure for the pressure.
The transmitter can be operated with an ActiveLine controller or with a customer related
control device.
