Knife position
Requirement
1. There must be a distance of
4 mm
between the cutting edge of the knife and the needle.
2. The right edge of the knife

must not extend beyond the right edge of the thread catcher
(see arrow).
●
Bring the needle bar to BDC.
●
Slide knife
1
under the locking tab and align according to
requirement 1.
●
Tighten screw
2
lightly.
●
Adjust thread catcher carrier
3
by hand until the wedge point in the thread catcher is
positioned just in front of the cutting edge of the knife.
●
Align knife
1
according to
requirement 2
and tighten screw
