4) “300 20”. Same as 3) except the time expansion factor is 20. Suitable for studying bats
using higher frequencies.
5) “200 10”. Same as 1) except the sampling frequency is 200 kHz. The maximum signal
frequency is 80 kHz.
6) “AUTO”. Unattended, automatic recording.
AUT: Automatic recording mode.
T=2, P=1, W=2, F=1: In order for the recording system to trigger, 2
trig pulses (T=2) have to be detected within 20 ms (W=2x10ms), with
a minimum spacing of 1 ms (P=1). After each recording, the system
will wait 10 seconds (F=1x10 sec) before “listening” for the next
signal to record.
PRE = 1s, POST = 2 s: The sound file contains the recording from
appr.1 second prior to the triggering moment to 2 seconds after that.
TRIG HF: The HF signal (the amplified microphone signal) is used
as trigger source.
7) “AUTO HET”. Unattended, automatic recording triggered by the heterodyne signal.
The settings are the same as in 6) except that the trigger source is the heterodyne signal. This
means that the system will trigger only on those signals that are audible in the heterodyne
system, i.e. those with a frequency close to the tuned, heterodyne frequency.
