Coffee softpads
You can use all commercially-available
coffee softpads with 7 cm outer diameter
(amount of coffee: approximately 7 g).
Coffee pads with a smaller diameter do
not make good coffee.
Hardpads that are offered for espresso
machines and pads with extra ingre-
dients for cappuccino or the like may not
be used.
Incorrect use may cause defects
in the machine.
Never place damaged pads, loose
•
coffee grounds or instant coffee in the
pad cassette. It could be blocked and
jam the adjusting knob (
17
) so that
the pad cassette (
2
) can no longer be
removed. If this nonetheless happens,
please refer to page
42.
The quantity of coffee grounds in a pad
has been optimally dosed for a 125 ml
cup. You can vary the fill amount for a
cup as you like and adjust the strength of
the coffee.

Tips for perfect coffee
Before enjoying your cup of coffee,
•
stir it. This ensures that the coffee
strength is the same in the whole cup.
For hygienic reasons, remove any
•
used coffee pads from the pad casset-
te as soon as possible.
Carefully close the pads pack to avoid
•
losing any flavour.
Always fill the tank with fresh tap wa-
•
ter every day. Before doing so, quickly
rinse out the water tank. Then run the
rinse cycle as described on
page 25
.
