12. STABLING
When the Kubota is not being used it should ideally be stabled under cover in an
environment which does not exceed the lower limits of the vehicle fluid operating
and freezing temperatures. Stabling in these conditions will prevent any damage due
to harsh temperature conditions. It can extend the life of the vehicle which could
otherwise be reduced due to corrosion, long term water exposure and other
environmental side effects. Ensure the vehicle is in road mode when stabled to
preserve battery power. It is also advised to isolate the power to the vehicle using
the isolation wheel on the positive battery terminal if the vehicle is to be left for
lengthy periods. Turn the green thumb wheel anticlockwise (OFF) by 1 turn to isolate
the electrical supply. Turn the green thumb wheel clockwise (ON) by 1 turn to
reconnect the electrical supply.
13. TRAINING
Persons that will operate, maintain and test the Permaquip Kubota should undertake
a programme of training. This programme of training should include the following
aspects:

Product familiarisation.
•
Component location and function.
•
Product preparation.
•
Safe and Correct Use.
•
Maintenance.
•
Testing.
•
Practical experience.
