Fuel System Filter - Replace
Note:
Do not operate the starting motor for more
than 15 seconds. If the engine does not start after 15
seconds, stop and wait for 30 seconds before trying
again.

Fuel System Filter - Replace
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or elec-
trical components can cause a
fi
re. To help pre-
vent possible injury, turn the start switch off when
changing fuel
fi
lters or water separator elements.
Clean up fuel spills immediately.
NOTICE
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly
clean the area around a fuel system component that
will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over discon-
nected fuel system component.
NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure that
fl
uids are contained
during performance of inspection, maintenance, test-
ing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared
to collect the
fl
uid with suitable containers before
opening any compartment or disassembling any com-
ponent containing
fl
uids.
Dispose of all
fl
uids according to local regulations and
mandates.
Fuel Filter with Canister
1.
Close the fuel supply valve.

Clean the outside of the fuel
fi
lter assembly (1).
3.
Remove setscrew (2).
4.
Remove the canister (3). Ensure that any
fl
uid is
drained into a suitable container.

Assemble the following items: seals (8), seal (7),
canister (3), and bowl (10). Place washer (5) and
seal (6) on setscrew (2).
6.
Fasten the assembly to the fuel
fi
lter base with
setscrew (2).
