Select the Setup Instrument Advanced tab and click 

Toolbox

. 

The Adjustments Toolbox dialog is displayed.

The Wavelength Calibration dialog is displayed.

Ensure that you have followed the instructions on the dialog, and then click 

Next

. 

The instrument will now perform the wavelength calibration routine. This will take some 

time. At the end of the calibration, the result is displayed. 

The instrument is now wavelength calibrated. 

SOP-9: Laser Frequency Calibration 

Laser frequency calibration should only be performed if the instrument has failed a 

wavelength calibration verification.

Ensure the RamanFlex 400 is switched on.  
If not, follow SOP-1. 

NOTE: If you have a RamanFlex 400F with two fiber optic probes, ensure that the probe not 

in use is covered.

Select 

Raman Instrument

 from the Setup menu. 

The Setup Instrument tabs are displayed

Select the Setup Instrument Advanced tab and ensure that the laser power is set to 

100%.

Select

The Live tab is displayed.

Focus on the polystyrene (L1181228) sample.

When the polystyrene sample is optimally focused, click
