The RamanFlex 400 Series
The RamanFlex 400 Series are fiber-optic Raman spectrometers with laser excitation
wavelength at 785 nm.
Figure 7 The RamanFlex 400 Series
The instrument (Figure 7) is composed of a laser, mirrors, fiber optics, filters, lenses,
spectrograph and a CCD detector. The laser supplies light through an objective lens onto the
sample through the fiber optic probe. The scattered light from the sample is collected with
the same objective lens and transmitted back to the spectrometer. A schematic of the system
configuration is provided in Figure 8.
