Saw blade guide adjustment
Warning!
Adjusting the saw blade guide requires the saw to
be driven with the back piece open. This
adjustment must be performed by qualified
personnel only.
Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
source.
2. Place a protractor as shown in Figure 12. The
protractor should be along the entire length of
the vice and saw blade without gaps.
3. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the bolts
holding the vice and adjust it so that the
protractor fits snugly. Tighten the bolts.
4. Connect the machine to the power source.
Adjust the saw blade angle to the vice
Note! Try a new saw blade before making any
steering adjustments. Crooked saw blades cannot
be controlled.
The saw blade guide is set at the factory and
should not need to be adjusted. If a blade guide
problem occurs, adjust the machine as follows:
1. Move the saw arm to the vertical position and
lock in place by closing the hydraulic cylinder
valve.
2. Confirm that the saw blade tension is set
correctly. To adjust, see the section entitled
”Adjusting the blade tension”.
3. Open the back cover by loosening the locking
screws.
4. Run the saw and observe the blade. The blade
should run next to but not close to the wheel
flange.
5. Loosen the bolts (A, Fig.13).
6. Turn the adjusting screw (S) while observing
the blade guide on the wheel. Turn the
adjusting screw clockwise to steer the blade
