To set the blade tension without using a blade
tension gauge:
1. Mount the blade between the wheel and insert
the blade between the bearings on the blade
guides.
2. Tighten the blade slightly to remove any drops
in the blade between the wheels.
3. Turn the blade tension knob (A, Fig.9) 1.75 to 2
turns clockwise. This corresponds to
approximately 800 kg of the blade tension.
4. After the blade has been completely installed,
close the cover, connect to the power source
and run the saw for two to three minutes so
that the blade settles properly.
5. Disconnect the machine from the power
source. Open the lid and loosen the blade until
it starts to sag.
6. Tighten the blade until it is straight between the
wheel and all failure has been eliminated.
7. Tighten the blade by turning the tension wheel
two full turns. The blade is now properly
tensioned and ready to use.
8. Close the cover and connect the machine to the
power source.
Warning!
Do not overtighten the blade. This can cause
the blade to stretch and skew.
Replacing the blade
WARNING!
Never use the saw unless all blade guards are
installed and in the correct order!
Never adjust the brush when the machine is
running! Failure to do so may result in serious
injury!
BE CAREFUL!
This machine is designed and intended for use
with blades that are 19 mm wide by
0.8 mm thick and 2362 mm long. Use of blades
with different specifications can lead to poorer
performance.
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
source.
2. Raise the saw arm to the vertical position and
lock it in place by switching off the hydraulic
cylinder.
3. Remove the red blade guard (A, Fig.10) by
removing two screws (B).
WARNING!
It is important that this cover is installed after
the new blade has been fitted!
Failure to do so may result in serious injury!
4. Remove the brush assembly (C) by removing
two screws (D).
5. Release the blade tension by turning the blade
tension knob counterclockwise.
6. Carefully remove the old blade.
Warning: The blade teeth are sharp. Handle
with care.
7. Mount the new blade by placing the blade and
the intermediate blade guides first. Make sure
that the blade teeth are in the same direction as
indicated on the label on the saw.
8. Place the blade around both wheels. Make sure
that the blade edge is close to the wheel flange
on both wheels.
9. Turn the blade tension knob clockwise to the
clamping blade. Do not overvoltage. See
section ”Adjusting the blade tension”.
10. Close the blade cover door and secure it with
locking buttons.
11. Attach the red blade guard and brush
assembly.
12. Connect the machine to the power source.
13. Start the saw and make sure that the blade
tracks properly.
