The following submenu items can be used in the system
settings:
Time zone
The time is derived automatically from the GPS signal.
To set summer/winter time or adjust the time setting to
the time zones of other countries, you can select a time
zone. The time zone (including summer/winter time)
is adjusted automatically during the data update and
overwritten with the PC’s system time. However, it is
possible to overwrite the time zone in the settings as
follows:
plus / minus one hour depending on summer / winter time
» delete.
Start message after starting the POI Pilot
• Detailed = Message “Greeting/battery status/operating
status (GPS)/final update”
• Short = Message “Greeting/operating status (GPS)”
• Off = No message
Unit (kmh/mph)
Converts the unit from kmh to mph.
Speed adjustment
The speed indicated by the POI Pilot is determined via
GPS and is very precise. For legal reasons, the
speedometer of a vehicle displays a somewhat higher
Early warning time first warning
• 20,25,30,35,40 seconds = Sets the time point of the first
warning. The longer the time, the earlier the warning is
given.
Early warning time second warning
• OFF = No second warning is given.
• 5,10,15 seconds = Sets the time point of the second
warning.
Warning angle
25 – 160 degrees = The acquisition angle has a large
influence on the reliability of the detection of speed traps
after curves. For a high reliability, a large angle must be
set. To avoid false warnings (e.g. speed traps on parallel
streets), the angle must be reduced. Factory setting is 80°.
Back to main menu
Via this submenu item, you can directly access the main
menu. Alternatively, the device automatically switches
after a few seconds to the normal view.
System settings
In order to access the system settings, the M button
is pressed. The main menu items 1 – 4 can be skipped
quickly using the “+” button. After the “System settings”
announcement, this main menu item is selected using the M
button, then follows the announcement of the first submenu
item “Time zone” as well as of the setting “+1”.
