8. HOLD-Key
The HOLD button keeps the current reading fixed in the display and a HOLD symbol will illuminate in
the display until the button is pressed again.
9. V/Ω/-II-/Hz – Socket
This is the input jack for all measurements except for current measurements. The following
measurements must have the V /
Ω / II / Hz - jack connected:
Voltage measurements
Resistance measurements
Capacitance measurements
Frequency measurements
Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) measurements
10. 10A-Socket
The 10A socket is used exclusively for DC and AC current measurement up to 10A. Note the
following safety instructions:
Do current measurements always "in series" between the separated current path
Never put a voltage parallel to the input jacks for the power measurement, because the device
may be damaged irreparably
Never exceed the maximum input value of 10A, 1000V
11. COM-Socket
The COM input jack is the common port connector as a reference point for all measurements.
12. µA/mA- Socket
The µA / mA jack is used exclusively for DC and AC current measurements up to 600mA. Note the
following safety instructions:
Do current measurements always "in series" between the separated current path
Never put a voltage parallel to the input jacks for the power measurement, because the device
may be damaged irreparably
Never exceed the maximum input value of 600mA, 1000V
13. Function- keys
Use the function keys to select the measurement ranges and menu-settings. A detailed description of
each function-key can be found in chapter 6
14. ON/OFF Switch
To power ON/OFF the device
If the device can’t be switched on, check the connection of the power cable and the fuse
15. RS-232 Interface
Use the RS-232 interface to connect your device to a PC via direct data connection.
