Maintenance and calibration
7.1
Charging
When the battery is low, the icon will be displayed. If so, the batteries should be charged immediately. Connect
the gauge to the charger using the USB cable and then connect the charger to an AC socket to start charging. It
takes about 3 Q 4 hours until the battery is fully charged. You can also use other USB-capable devices (e. g. laptop
or PC) to recharge the gauge.
7.2
Calibration
Owing to the performance of the sensor material or the influence of external factors, errors may occur in a certain
range after a certain usage period. Please send the force gauge to PCE or a specialised calibration laboratory for
calibration. We recommend a calibration interval of 1 year.

Disposal
For the disposal of batteries, the 2006/66/EC directive of the European Parliament applies. Due to the contained
pollutants, batteries must not be disposed of as household waste. They must be given to collection points designed
for that purpose.
In order to comply with the EU directive 2012/19/EU we take our devices back. We either re-use them or give them
to a recycling company which disposes of the devices in line with law.
