Modem Driver and Software
Install the Modem driver from the sub-folders for Windows 95/98 or
Windows NT4.0.
Windows 95/98
The modem is a plug and play device so Windows 95/98 will
automatically detect the presence of your modem. When the Plug and
Play wizard begins to look for modem drivers, click on the button that
says
Have Disk
and then browse or type in the pathname to the
CMI8X38\modem\win9x folder.
Windows NT 4.0
Follow the instructions in the README file in the WINNT4 sub-folder.
Peripheral Folder Installation Notes
Keyboard, CD-ROM, Mouse
Follow the instructions contained in the documentation files in these
folders.
Intel Folder Installation Notes
I810_ACPI
This folder has a patch that allows a Windows 95/98 system to carry out
a suspend to RAM. Run SETUP.EXE to install the patch. Don’t install
this patch file into Windows 98 Second Edition.
Inf
The Intel INF Installation Utility installs to the target system the
Windows* INF files that outline to the operating system how the chipset
components shall be configured. This is needed for proper functionality
of the following features:
