• Try turning the energiser on and off by holding the Remote contact against the lead-out
wire, or by holding the remote control close to the energiser (within 15 to 30 cm) pressing
the respective button.
• If the energiser still does not respond, then the remote control and energiser may have
different address settings. See "Changing the address setting of the remote control handset"
on page 61 and "To activate the remote control feature on the energiser", page 60.
I want to disable the remote control feature.
If you have a remote control handset, see the remote control handset's user manual. If not, take
the energiser to an authorised dealer to have the feature disabled.
The energiser sometimes turn off unexpectedly
• An adjacent property may have an energiser operating at the same address setting. See,
"Changing the address setting", page 61. If the problem persists, seek advice from your
PATURA dealer.
Troubleshooting
If ...
This means that ...
The energiser is not pulsing
and the first red Indicator
light is flashing
The battery connections may be faulty. Check all battery
connections. Check the battery voltage immediately using the
battery test setting. See "Battery Test setting" on page 57
The first red Indicator light is
flashing and other indicator
lights are on
The energiser has a fault. If the display persists and does not
return to normal, contact your service agent for advise.
The energiser is pulsing slow-
ly and has a reduced output
voltage
The battery voltage may be low and the energiser has reverted
to Slow Speed and Low Output Power in order to preserve the
remaining power and energy in the battery.
The warning light flashes and
the acoustic alarm sounds
The energiser detected a sudden load rise at the fence. Turn
off the energiser, locate and eliminate the fault and turn the
energiser back on.
The output voltage digits (large
digits on the LCD display) flash
1.0 kV
The fence voltage is below 1000 V. There is a serious fault on
the fence line. See "How do I locate faults?" in "Frequently
asked questions/Troubleshooting on page 67.
P4600/P6000 only: The first
red Indicator light is
illuminated permanently
The earth monitor voltage is too high. Use the earth monitoring
feature to monitor the earth. See "Earth monitoring" on
page 56.
