Different address settings for each energiser prevents unintentional activation or deactivation of
fence lines. The address setting of new energisers is 1 (one).
Note: The remote control feature can only be changed during the first 10 minutes of operation
Changing the address setting of the remote control handset:
1. Move the switch of the energiser to
. Wait 5 seconds, and switch it back on to the
desired position.
2. Press
to turn on the remote control handset.
3. Hold the remote control handset within 5 to15 cm of the energiser and press
. The ener-
giser will stop pulsing and the word "OFF" will appear in the top part of the display.
4. Press
to turn off the remote control handset.
5. Press and hold
and then press
to turn on the remote control handset. The remote
control handset is now in the address setting mode.
6. Press
repeatedly until "AD" is shown on the display.
7. Press and hold
until the address setting you want is displayed. (addresses from 1 to
15 are available).
8. Hold the remote control handset within 5 to 15 cm of the energiser and press
. to transmit the
new setting to the energiser. The new address setting will appear for 2 seconds in the display.
9. Once the energiser's remote control feature has been activated, you will not need to per-
form the activation procedure again.
Building an Electric Fence
Components of an electric fence
An electric fence system comprises the following elements:
• An energiser.
• An earth system. This comprises a number of metal rods inserted into the ground,
which are connected to the earth terminal on the energiser.
• Insulated underground cables. Used to connect the energiser to the earth and fence.
• An insulated fence. Connected to the Fence output terminal of the energiser. Fences can
be made to a variety of designs (see below).
Note:
The animal receives a shock when it completes a circuit between the fence and
the earth system. The fence has all
